2006 HWY 1 USA Precision Bass - PRICE DROP TO 500.00
We all know what this is as far as specs (Graphite reinforced neck, semi-transparent nitro finish, Greasebucket tone). What makes this one special is the condition. This is just like NOS. It's been setting on a stand or in a case in my home since I purchased it new in 2008. Before that, it laid in a case in the back of the Conservatory of Music in Terre Haute Indiana on hold for an employee for 2 years until the boss told him to either buy it or it was going on the sales floor. I got it the next day. It has never been gigged, and is easily sub 9 pounds. It is wearing a new set of DR Sunbeams and comes in a rectangular hard shell case.
I did remove the BadassII and replace it with a vintage threaded saddle bridge and replaced the original white guard with a 70's style (bass side thumbrest holes) Fender tort guard. I also installed a chrome pup cover that will come with the bass in the case. I will also include the 3" Fender logo leather strap and straplocks shown in the pics.
This bass plays like butter and the pup is strong. I adore this bass, but my Japanese P and my Spector are getting all the gig time, so this one just sets. I simply can't afford to have this money wrapped up and not being used.
