THIS ONE'S SOLD
Acquired this one in a local trade in January, and its a fantastic 5-string P/J with quite a history behind it.
Priced at $900 shiped CONUS, pay-pal, no trades will be considered as this is a source of funds.
This bass started out life in 2008 as a Skyline 55-01 and was professionally modified into a 5-string P/J with all new Nordstrand Big Split pickups. Later, a matching headstock was painted by Pat Wilkins.
This is the best playing 5-string I have ever played, and I love this bass. But, I'm needing to raise funds for other band equipment, and this one's getting the least playing time with the style of music I play.
Here are the specs:
- 35" scale
- Dual stacked knobs control each pickup (V/T V/T), no separate blend knob.
- Nordstrand NP5/BigSplit (Passive, but in no way meek)
- Plekked
- Bone Nut
- Matching headstock/decal done by Lakland's paint guy, Pat Wilkins
- Custom pickguard held on by pups and 2-sided tape, no screw holdes.
- Ernie Ball straplocks
- Currently Strung with DR Lo-Rider Nickels
Condition: 9/10, only "player wear" visible is on the pickguard (swirls, etc.). No dings to that hot Inca Silver body-finish.
Weight: Not a light bass, prev. owner weighed it at 11.2 lbs.
