FS only: Lakland Skyline Hollowbody bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for grabs is a slightly more than one year old Lakland Skyline Hollowbody bass. Never been out of the house, much less used on a gig, is in immaculate condition and in perfect working order. Older style model with Bartolini pickups. Controls: V/T V/T, pickup selector switch (neck, bridge, both) and single coil/humbucking toggle. Mahogany back and sides with a maple top and a very nice 3 color sunburst. Maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard that is 1.65" wide at the nut and plays great. Currently strung with 105 - 45 LaBella Deep Talkin' Bass flatwounds for a warm and bassy thud that serves up a wonderful tone for roots music. I am the original owner (purchased from the BassPlace in Tempe, AZ) so I have all the paperwork and truss rod/bridge adjustment tools and it comes with a very nice hard shell case that has a Lakland logo on it. This is a really fine bass with no issues ... I'm just a Fender P and J guy from way back and have never quite been able to get used to it. $995 shipped. Payment with United States Postal Service money order.

Thanks, Steve

NOTE: The rear picture has a weird lighting issue that makes it look like something funky happened to the finish. I can assure you ... it's immaculate.

I have the same bass, same pickups. I know the Chi-Sonics are all the rage, but I LOVE this bass. I'm selling every bass I own except this one because it flat out rocks. And it works MANY styles of music.

Good luck with it!

Wait....I thought you said it had never been out of the house. Those pictures appear to have been taken outside.

Cool bass!

Cool bass!
Even the most dangerous inmates serving time in maximum security prisons in 24 hour lockdown get to take a short walk in the courtyard every once in a while. ;^)

BUSTED!!! ... you nailed me. Maybe I'll post a couple of those dark ass indoor pictures I took of it and then you'll understand why I gave her a little furlough from my basement bassgear dungeon.

Thanks. I've haven't hadda chance to hear those Chi-Sonics yet. It would be interesting to compare them to the Bartolinis.

This is a really nice bass for Latin Jazz music... It breaks throught the mix very well. Don't have the cash for it right now but I will be looking to see if someday one of these makes it to my door!

Again, great bass!
