FS Only: MIM Fender Jazz Bass - Upgraded and Minty

Hey all,

For sale is a beautiful, beautiful MIM Fender Jazz 4 banger. This was purchased brand new in 2010 and then sold to my younger brother, who has barely even touched it since. It still looks and feels like a brand new instrument.

The original owner had the store add a Badass II bridge and I talked my brother into adding an Audere Audio Z-mode Jazz Pre. Sunburst body, rosewood fretboard, and a brown tort pick guard (added by my brother - looks fantastic).

There is literally only ONE tiny ding on the edge of the bass by the bridge (see last picture below) and one of the pick guard screws is missing and another is rusty. Not sure how the rust happened... The bass itself has Dunlop strap locks in it, however the parts that go on the strap are missing.

Will ship it to you for $475 $450 OBO. Comes with black Fender gig bag, two extra pick guards (solid white and solid black), and the paper work that came with the bass when it was purchased. Price will be dropped for local sales, of course - local being Minneapolis area.

Everything works as it should - fantastically. The neck has a bit of relief, but only because that's how I tend to keep mine set up. You could definitely give the truss rod a turn if you wanted it completely straight. The frets are flat and even. It's a beautiful bass with a fast neck and a clean, classy look and feel.

I'm not planning on going... I have way too much homework to catch up on and I'll already be out of town on Friday and Saturday. But I could meet up there just for the sake of you taking a look at it if you really are interested. The stock electronics are at my parents' home in Wisconsin, but I could have it shipped here no problem. PM me if you're interested in meeting on Sunday.

What exactly do all the knobs do on the preamp? Is it Vol, pickup switch, bass/treb, tone/tone? Or is a four band EQ? Also, I assume it's an active pre? Is there a battery box installed in the back?
