FS ONLY MINT 08 LAKLAND US JO4 BURG MIST

Sign in to disble this ad
Well this totally blows. But my 14 1/2 year old pup has racked up over $1300.00 in vet bills in the past week with at least one more visit to come. She is ok, just getting old. Really old. So I'm forced to sell my beloved Burgundy Mist US JO4. I've worked the angles every which way and unfortunately can only keep one bass. And that will be my custom short scale Decade, a definite lifer. Plus I can always find another US JO used. But a short scale Decade, no. This is a great JO. The neck is to die for incredible consistent low action and amazing tone. It was made in 2008 serial #JO 545. Alder/rosewood and Lakland pups. This is my second US JO and the neck on this one is special, amazing really. It will ship in the original cream colored Lakland case with the 2 adjustment wrenches. And will be wearing the original mint guard pictured in some of the pics. Currently strung with a new set of JO flats which sound absolutely amazing on this bass. The bass is pretty much mint, no scratches or dings that I can find. That's not a scratch on the back of the bass in the body pic. It's one of my pups white hairs. As you can see different lighting drastically effects how the burg mist metallic looks in pics. Asking $1800.00 shipped. Paypal is fine. No trades. Gotta pay the vet bills.

Willya look at the SWEET bass......wow.....sorry you gotta sell it!!!

wish I had some spare coin...even though it is ONLY a 4 banger.....the color alone is worth consideration.....

as an aside, LAKLAND colors ALWAYS look much nicer in person than in pictures...they have a depth which you have to see to appreciate!!!

I played this JO before it left Lakland--man, what a sweet bass! I've never played a US Lakland that wasn't really good (at a minimum), but this was exceptional. Bump for a great TBer and LOGer. I hope your pup's recovery is speedy!

WOW...that is stunning! I had the same color on a US Bob Glaub that was awesome. I miss my US JO! I know what you mean about the neck. The US Lakland shop just NAILS the necks on the US basses! MY FAVORITE neck of all basses. This is a GREAT bass at a GREAT price as well! If it were a 5 I might be in SERIOUS trouble....Good luck on the sale!

Peace,

T

I can relate. I recently sold one of my basses for the exact same reason. I'd do it in a heartbeat again if I had to.

That does blow that you need to sell your bass. I actually picked up pet insurance after reading this thread. No kidding.

I hope your dog feels better.

Bump...
