Moving to a new house and I am trimming down my arsenal to what I want to take with me. This bass was bought to see what all the commotion was with the new line of basses made by Kevin Brubaker. I eventually upgraded this bass with Bartolini jazz and MM pickups. I also changed the preamp to an Aguilar OBP-3 with a toggle switches for the mids and parallel/single coil/series swithching for the MM pickup. Also the pickguard combo is kinda unique as I have not seen too many Brutes with it. Can get a variety of tones and is very comfortable to play.

Here are the specs:

Nato body
Maple fingerboard and neck
Wood pickguard
34 inch scale
Aguilar OBP-3 preamp
Bartolini classic jazz and MM pickups

I really like this bass but I want to keep all my basses to 35 inch scale. She also is pretty light at 9 lbs. I can only find two dings on the front of the bass. But with the black body they are not noticeable. Above the pickguard at the top end of the bass and near the bottom end by the jack.

I believe these sold for new for $650 shipped. You can get this one totally pimped out for $650 shipped. ConUS only and I am not looking for trades as I need the cash to help with my move. Paypal is accepted and please no lowball offers.

Love the black with Mediterranean pick guard bump!

I'd love to have two basses with the same neck feel rather than moving to a "backup."

While worth it, I wish I could cost justify it with the upgrades. Good luck.

The string spacing is 19mm. Wide and easy to play. If I didn't have the expenses for this move and if it was 35 inch scale I would not be selling it.

Bump for a great deal. I put my MJX-5 together with very similar upgrades, an Audere Classic pre rather then an Aguilar, with a final price tag of just over $1k. Wish this would have come along about 6 months ago . . . I coulda saved myself nearly $400 (plus had the twin to my JJX-5).

Here's wishing you good luck with your sale, and knowing someone is soon to get a great playing, fantastic sounding, and gorgeous looking bass.

Thank you, Shooter McGavin, for saving me from my GAS!

I'll catch the next one. I'm sure it won't look as good though. Great color combo!
