Second is a MusicMan Sabre from around 1984. The neck has plenty of chipping in the clearcoat along the edge of the fingerboard and around the headstock but itís not something I notice while playing. The body has been refinished, itís a pro job. The body looks like alder. The treble pot has been replaced, and the strap button by the bridge is a Fender style. Otherwise it looks all original and works just like it should. It plays and sounds great, there is some hum as usual with old Sabres, itís possible that a shielding job could fix that, Iíve never tried. Selling because I bought one of the new Sabre reissues and donít need two of these. Weighs 10.0 lbs and comes in a molded RoadRunner hardcase.

Third is an Alleva-Coppolo KPB4. This is a Hippy Dippy Trippy model (also known as the 6571) and itís incredible. The body is alder with a thin hand-done finish. The neck is perfect, great C shape and not too thick or thin, width at the nut is 1-11/16". The fingerboard is super dark rosewood with beautiful grain. Pickups are hand-wound in Jimmyís shop and the electronics are standard passive vol/tone. Comes in a nice RoadRunner gigbag. Nice and lightweight at 7.9 lbs but it sounds so full. I love this bass but my other KPB4 is getting all of the playing time. Check here for more info about this model: http://allevacoppolo.com/hdt

Last is a really nice LeCompte V-Groove P4 built in 2012. I asked Bud for a light bass and he used Spanish Cedar for the body. It's used by other builders like Roscoe, very light with great tone. Here's a list of the specs:
Red, satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish
Three piece 1/4 sawn maple neck
Macassar ebony fingerboard (upcharge)
Vintage style frets (6230)
7.25" radius fingerboard
Bone nut (1.750" wide)
34Ē scale, 20 frets
Nordstrand ďNP4Ē pickup
V/T passive controls
Chrome vintage style bridge (0.75Ē string spacing)
Chrome Hipshot ultralight tuners (upcharge)
The neck is nice and full, more of a soft D shape than a round C shape. The tone is exactly right for a P bass. This is a top-notch bass but I have too many P basses so it's up for grabs. Condition is as new, comes in a thin Levy's gigbag. Weight is super light at 7.8 lbs.
