Up for grab is my recently trade, a Nordy VJ5 Classic, 2-Tone Sunburst, 70's pickups spec, 34" scale, 19mm spacing, 9.3lb ash body and one piece maple neck with skunk stripe.
I'm the 3rd owner. The original owner paid around $3k over 2 years ago, since then Nordy prices have gone up along with his build times. The finish of the body has taken some wear and tear. There are a few dents/scratches/the usual and a significant crack in the finish on the back with some finishing coming off (please see the original post for pics). Though, luckily there's no damage to the body wood nor it effects the bass' playability or tone. The neck is in fantastic condition, straight and low actions with only one noticeable dent on the headstock. Otherwise, the bass is a great player, in fact I just played a 200+ club show last Friday, and people were loving the bass tone, I got lots of compliments after the show. I was able to get through a 5 piece band with ease.
Why am I selling it? As you may have seen from my other for sale threads that I am trying to gather funds for a nice Ken Smith. So this one's gotta go. BTW, a recent quote from Nordy stating that a refinish of the body would cost somewhere between $250 to $350.
I am pricing this fairly based on its current state, consdering most of better condition used Nordy are now selling between $2250 to $2750, I will let mine go for
