Up for sale is a Nordy VJ5 Classic #246 2-Tone Sunburst 70's Spec - 34" scale, 19mm spacing, Ash body / One piece maple neck with skunk stripe. The one piece neck is phenomenal! Comes with two pickguards..black & tort and a used Protec Contego Gigbag.
I'm the original owner and purchased it new about a year and a half ago from Carey for roughly $3K. Since then his prices have gone up along with his build times. The bass has been my main player since then, has seen alot of gigs, and the finish has taken some wear and tear. There are a few chips and a significant crack in the finish on the back that occurred when it was in a gig bag! Luckily nothing that damaged the body wood and effects playability or tone. The bass has been professionally maintained and setup during its use, it plays and sounds amazing. I was getting ready to send it off to Pat Wilkins for a refinish but thought I post it here first in case someone wanted it as is or wanted to have it refinished themselves.
This is the best 70's style bass I've owned to date, I've sold my AC, Sadowksy, & Celinder after getting this. In fact, I had both this and another Nordy Classic with similar specs in my possession at the same time and choose to keep this and let the other one go. The tone on this resonates - even unplugged! Great 'snap and bite' 70's grind and glory!
**Weight is 9.3lbs on my scale
**The pickups are NJ5 wide pickups, '70s wind in '70s position $1999. Shipped / Lower 48 US

GLWTS
