Here are the details:
Nordy VJ5 #30: Originally owned by Paul Turner. It now has active electronics via a Sadowsky 3 band pre-amp with Vintage Tone Control (VTC) and passive bypass via pull knob. Pickups are Nordstrand Dual Coils; The prior owner had Carey make a new white pearl pickguard to match the white pearl inlays in the fingerboard. The neck is amazing and is easily the most comfortable neck I’ve ever played; the 9” to 14”compound radius is just perfect and the nitrocellulose, vintage tinted, neck with matching headstock is beautiful. The scale length is not the standard Nordy VJ5 length as Paul was able to convince Carey to make it a 34” scale, not the usual 34.5”. The action is nice and low with perfect intonation and no fret wear what so ever. The Ice Blue Metallic finish is done in nitrocellulose and is starting to lightly yellow in two small spots and there is some checking on the matching headstock and body. It is really going to be a lovely “vintage look” instrument in a few more years’ time making it truly a thing of beauty. Bass includes the original silver vinyl w/ green plush interior hard case, which has Paul Turners name on it and the original parchment pickguard is included too.
Asking $2,400.00 shipped and insured, US sales only, payment via paypal, or wire transfer. I’ll consider overseas shipping but this will require some assistance with both the cost and the logistics. I am not interested in trades.

| | | | Without prejudice to the above bass or its owners past and present...
In the pursuit of finding that ultimate tone sometimes we sell a bass then ending up regretting it and to sound even more comical sometimes end up buying the same bass back.(I have done this before!)
There are other times however after getting a bass it just doesn't sound right when playing with the band or the genre of music that I thought it would suit.
There was a time I felt I had moved away from that tone, so....
In not too many words I dare say its not the bass but its just the human element to the equation.
BTW this is a free bump for a real sweet looking VJ5! Wsh I had the green! |

Good luck with the sale, Butler.

Even though I said no trades, there were some great offers that I was considering. There is nothing wrong with the bass. It is fantastic. I have sold numerous basses over the years. There are only two that I regret selling. If I ever had the chance, I would buy them back. I am glad to be able to help Bernie in getting this one back.
Thanks again,
Steve |

Bernie is unable to come up with the funds needed due to some unforseen problems with his vehicle. The bass is available & back on the market again.
Thanks,
