FS Only: Rickenbacker 4003 Montezuma Brown & Mint

Sign in to disble this ad
Rickenbacker 4003 Bass in rare Montezuma Brown (a gorgeous limited-edition color available only in 2003-4) in mint (new) condition for sale for $2300 plus shipping. The bass literally does not have a mark on it. Includes original case and all case candy. Set up recently with low action and new strings. I love this bass and had planned to keep it forever, but a job loss forces me to sell. No trade offers, please.

Pictures to be posted later today.

Yes, this bass has sensational looks. I'm hoping you'll be able to see the pics tomorrow. (I need one of the moderator's help to post them.)

Here are the pics. Wow. Smelt is at it again. Try not to drool onto your chests, keyboards, and whatnot, you all.

As with all Smelt's hi-res pics, you may have to click a second time or even a third time to get each pic's full resolution, depending on your browser and its settings.

I prefer a US sale to avoid the paperwork hassle, but I will ship to Canada if nobody down here buys this beauty in the next week. Or maybe a buyer in western Canada could drive down to Seattle for some liquid sun and get the bass too?

Because there's no sun above the border in December?

This is the only Rick I've ever owned, so it's not possible for me to give you an answer. What I can say is that I find the neck quite comfortable, and I have small hands.

Ah, deja vu. I got one of these new when it was the Color of the Year. Absolutely beautiful. I sold it for the same price I paid for it; and often wish I'd have hung onto it. Montezuma Brown (for as horrible as it sounds) is one of my favorite Ric colors of all time.

Still available. This would make a nice Christmas present for a bassist (such as yourself).
