FS ONLY: ROSCOE LG-2005, WALNUT - PRICE DROP!!

Sign in to disble this ad
****PICS DOWN BELOW - POST #15!****

I am selling a killer Roscoe LG 2005. Really amazing instrument! SOLD

*Gorgeous bookmatched feather walnut top (and matching headstock)
*Mahogany body
*Beautiful multi-laminates between top and body!
*Bartolini pickups and 3-band Bart preamp with push/pull mids
*Maple fingerboard - NO fret buzz or dead spots!
*Maple/purpleheart neck (maple has some flame in it)
*BRAND NEW Tomastik hexcore strings installed
*Roscoe soft/hardshell case

"Balanced" is how I would describe this bass! Balance between the deep smooth mahogany and the upper snap of the maple fingerboard. Also, balances well on your shoulder.

ABOUT 9 pounds weight.

Very minor "brush" scratches on the top of the headstock and VERY minor swirling on body under G string. No dings or bumps.

SOLD

Thumbs up

Bump for a killer deal and an A+++ TB'er. I really like the contrast between the walnut top and the mahogany body!

I suspect that the maple finger board and walnut top really add some snap & definition to the tone of this bass.

I thought that I'd seen the last of the Roscoe's for sale below $2K.........Great price on a nice Roscoe in tough economic times!

Beautiful bass and a great guy to deal with. If it were only a 3000 model instead.

Thanks guys! I've had 4 Roscoes in my history - the best ones stand out in my mind, and THIS is one of them!

You're right Joe - the maple/walnut mixed with the mahogany body make a very articulate even-sounding instrument.

And many of you may know what I'm talking about here >>> I have a love/hate relationship with maple fingerboards. I love the tone, but it's SO hard to find one with no deadspots!
THIS bass has no deadspots...and no fret buzz!

This is a great chance to pickup a Fantastic bass for half the cost of a new one! If you have never seen a Roscoe in person, pictures will never do the bass any justice. So if the pictures look nice, wait until you get the bass to your house!

On bass it doesn't look like a different wood, it appears Keith used tape to stripe a line in the mahogany before the mahogany was stained to give it the appearance of another layer of wood.

I'm not 100% sure but from top to bottom it looks like:
walnut/maple pin stripe/flame maple/black mahogany body

Very classy in person because the neck also has flame in the maple.

D/FW needs the rain. There is a cat looking for a used Roscoe in the Roscoe Forum, and I've told him about your 3005. If I had the $ I'd snag it.

BTW what part of the metroplex are you in? I grew up in Oak Cliff, East Dallas and Arlington areas.

God Bless, Ray
