Sadowsky MS4 in '59 burst with VTC and original case. Weighs 8.5 lbs. Beautiful bass,as you would expect. Shows pretty much like a new bass, the only mark being a small indentation about the size of the tip of a pen on the back (doesn't go through the paint). $1,750 shipped in the CONUS. Extra charge for shipping to Canada, Hawaii or Alaska.

Thought this bass looked familiar, ...... You picked it up last year for $1,500? ...... If Jeffplaysbass owned it and you bought it off of thissnsucks, who else has owned this? ..... Anything wrong with it? I'm interested but, curious?

I bought the bass from Jeffplaysbass for $1,700, and it has VTC, which must have been added since it sold for $1,500. Shipping and insurance will probably cost me about $80 - $90 or so. There is nothing wrong with the bass at all. I've just found I'm more comfortable with my passive basses. I know the Sadowsky plays passive as well as active, but then it seems to me like it's a lot more bass than I need. I will entertain reasonable offers.

To answer above...I bought it from a local bass player from one of the top tribute bands in the northeast. He probably bought it from that guy and had his luthier install the VTC which he said with installation cost him around $300. He lives 30min from my house so I checked it out and it was awesome!...There is nothing wrong with the bass when it was in my hands and im sure there still isnt...The only basses that usually stick around with my are most of my Spectors...I just bought an Awesome Geddy Lee and now am selling that too. Big deal people like to try stuff and then turn them, its called NEW GAS....that was a mouthfull, hoped it helped...

I guess I have that affliction (NEW GAS) too, but I'm hoping to get cured. Thanks for the input, Jeffplaysbass.

New pictures added to album in link. Also, I would entertain a partial trade for a Genz Benz 6.0-210 shuttle.

Having serious second thoughts - may be keeping this one after all. I'm going to put some flats on it and see.

VTC = Vintage Tone Control. You can read about it on Sadowsky's website. It allows tone control/shaping while playing in passive mode. Older models did not have this as a standard feature, but it could be added later. New models all have VTC I believe.
