FS Only: Several nice basses MTD, Spector, Tobias, Warwick, Hagstrom

Sign in to disble this ad

So here is the deal. About eight months ago pretty much out nowhere I decided to start a bass business. I had some funds I was looking to invest and my growing interest in basses seemed like the way to go. My plan to open a retail space has hit many snags along the way and thus far I've only been selling basses on Ebay. I've done fairly well for someone just getting started but some other more profitable opportunities have come to my attention. I'm now planning on taking a three to six month break from the bass business and then reevaluate the situation from there. I still have several basses to sell and the forum admins were nice enough to allow me to offer them here. These are all in new condition and basically being sold for cost. All prices include shipping to the continental US. Not looking for trades.
Spector Legend 4 Slate Gray $400 SOLD

Spector SpectorCore Amberburst 4 $400 SOLD

Tobias Bubinga Killer B 4 String w/Tobias Case $1050 SOLD

MTD Kingston CRB Trans Black $380 SOLD
Warwick Rockbass Corvette 5 String Almondburst $420

Hagstrom FXB 200 Black $240

Antonio Tsai 5 String Neck Through Mahogany and Zebrawood Inlaid Fingerboard with planet and stars motif w/low quality gig bag $350

This one is came with finish blemish shown here:

Everything functions on this bass but there is a loud pop when turning on the on/off switch. I had been planning on modding this one but never got around to it. I purchased a set of MTD Kingston wood covered soap bars to install and will include them with the bass. I'm not positive the pick ups will drop right in but they appear to be the same size.

All of these basses will only be for sale until right around Christmas at which point my break from selling basses begins.
I've never sold anything through Talkbass before but have sold somewhere around 25-35 basses on Ebay without a single complaint. See my feedback here:

Paypal payment is preferred but I will consider other options like money orders. I will include your choice of a Levy's leather strap or Hercules locking wall hanger with every bass sold.

I've been here every day for about six months now. I feel extremely fortunate to have had this opportunity. So much fun with so many basses

The two natural finish natural finish Warwicks are two of my personal basses and not for sale. The one on the left is a 2009 Rockbass Streamer Standard and the right one is a 2008 German Corvette Standard. The Honey Violin Corvette in the corner is a 2009 German model that I am currently debating selling.

I'm not very good at describing any basses particular tone. I honestly have played that one very little. From what I remember it just sounds pretty average. It would work well for just about anything. I'll play around with it a little later and if I can think of any better description I will post it.

I played the Tsai last night and can't really think of any better description of the tone. It's a nice bass and plays very well with smooth low action.
