I acquired this bass for a friend of mine in a trade from Basswave a while back. Well, that friend has decided to go a different route, so he wanted me to offer this back up to the TB community. I'd keep it myself, if I wasn't such a 5 string stickler.
Anyway, here's a Sterling Ball SB14. Black gloss, matching headstock, rosewood board, tort guard. The pickup was changed to the Nordstrand MM4.3 (aka, the direct replacement version that's $140 and not being made anymore, allegedly). This was done before he got it and hasn't been changed. The pickup sounds PHENOMENAL! It helped the tone a bit from stock. In fact, I a/b'd it with my other friend's Ernie Ball Sterling ('99) and the output was a bit hotter in a very good way.
The bass is in great shape. No major wear and tear, tiny headstock ding at the tip, and slight swirling in the finish (like any bass that's not factory fresh!). It's very minty!
Weighs in at 9.8 lbs, using the bathroom scale method
(me*and*bass - me = 9.8)
Sorry, no case or bag, but if I find one, I'll let you know.
Asking $450 + shipping to the US. Paypal or Money Order only.
Canada could work, too, but I always run into size issues when I try to ship there, so be advised. That would require Paypal only, too.
If interested, PM me with a zip code and I'll get a quote.
(These pics are older, but the bass is in exactly the same condition. Waiting to get my camera back from a friend, will update then. It's the black one, not the natural one.)
