FS ONLY two Ibanez Musicians ’81 924ds and a ’82 824ds

Sign in to disble this ad
Both are neck through, 34” scale and PJ pup config.
Both have pretty good body wear.

924 $525 >>>> sold pending clearance of funds
neck is dead straight and superfast.
frets look damn near new
stock save the pre knobs
active 3 band pre with active passive switch
abalone dots IIRC
ebony board
10lbs 4oz
ohsc

824 $400
Most will think the active 924 is pretty slick, however this passive with the mellower rosewood board really sings. Frets are in good condition (well awesome really for a 28 yo bass) The keys are not stock and it is missing the truss rod cover.

It weighs 10lbs even and will ship in a gig bag

Buyer will pay actual shipping, payment paypal echeck, pmo or cash. I will ship international but it’ll be very expensive.

Best bang for the buck period.
I have one 924 fretless and got four more Musician fretted and all of them were incredible powerful and perfectly crafted basses.
Best luck with the sale mate.

In the Ibanez 924 released two years before this, there is another switch, on the right of the bass, which is missing in this PJ configuration bass.
Any idea what's the use of this switch ?
Thank you

That 924ds was mine a while back, and I have to say it was one of the few basses that I truly miss. That thing has KILLER tone and it's just plain cool!

Oh man! I've wanted one of those for so long (my 2nd bass ever was a 1981 Ibanez Studio 8 string!).... dammit!
