S O L D !! S O L D !!

I may regret this AGAIN....BUT I have to do it to make room for some things I have to have. I am living in a much smaller place and I have NO ROOM at all for anything that I am not using so this one has to go. I originally bought this bass back around July of 2004...I reluctantly sold it after I got an Amber 55-94 (only to realize that it was as good (better IMO!!) than the 55-94...Bought it back again and later sold it again after I had too many basses in the stable...Bought it back AGAIN (YES I know I am a bit "eccentric") and have been using it as my main bass ever since. I am currently working with a Producer who was with James Brown for 16 years and he is a Music Man NUT! I have been using this bass in the Humbucker mode but it just is not quite there for him. I am also having a bit of trouble with my carpal tunnel or tennis elbow or whatever the he77 the God awful pain in my elbow area is when I play a 35" scale. Couple these things with the fact that I just bought an SR4, an SR5 and I just agreed to buy a 20th Anniversary SR5 and this one just HAS to go.

With all that said this is easily the best Lakalnd I have ever played...PERIOD! If you search my post history you will see I said it years ago so nothing new here. THIS is the bass that is BETTER than a number of US Laklands I have owned and is the bass that I use to make the statement that the US Laklands are nice BUT the Skylines are darn near as good...In this case, the Skyline exceeds the US Lakland IMHO...I know that other people have owned and played this bass and they can chime in if they want...

The particulars...This is one of a LIMITED RUN of 18 5 string Amber finished basses that were produced. (I understand there were 12 4 Strings built and I have owned 3 of them and 1 other Amber 55-02 from the run and THIS one beats them all...I also owned an 8 lb Amber 55-94 which was lighter but did not sound or play as well as this one!) This one weighs in at 8.6 lbs and will come in a US LAKLAND Cream colored Heavy Duty case. It currently has a set of GOLD DUNLOPS on it and is strung with Sadowsky Blue Nickel Strings. I will ship it insured for replacement of $1500 (you NEVER see these for sale!!!) to the lower 48 for $1100.

Sorry but I CAN NOT take any trades unless you have a TC Electronic RH450 in PRIMO condition and some cash!!!!!
I have someone local who says he wants it and he may pull the trigger but I told him I was posting this ad tonight so if you want it jump QUICK as I do not expect to keep it long...If you have any questions at all please PM me or ask here! I do not have any pics in Photobucket but here are the links to 2 different threads on this bass! Sorry for the hassle of having to see it there but I am hitting the hay...I have 2 gigs tomorrow and 2 on Sunday and I have to be out of here in about 7 hours! I will be back online late Sunday but I can get updates on my Iphone if you need anything! Thanks so much for looking and God Bless!

Peace,

T

Wow. I was actually thinking of (someday) getting this as a 55-94. This looks just awesome and the weight is amazing.

Too bad I just bought another bass here (well, not really bad) or I would be right on this. Well, if you sell it and buy it back again and sell it again let me know!
