FS Only: Warwick FNA Jazzman 2004 Ltd Ed

Hey everybody,

I've got a 4 string Warwick 2004 Limited Edition FNA Jazzman that I'd like to sell. Here are the specs:
3/8" Koa top
US Swamp Ash body
Ovangkol neck with Ebony fingerboard
Original mother-of-pearl inlays ("ellipse" / "W")
Scale length: 34"
Active MEC J/TJ pickups
Active MEC 3-band electronics
Satin Finish
Black Hardware

This particular bass is number 252 (not sure how that works since they supposedly only made 250).

Condition:
Well I've had this bass since 2004, so there are some dings and scratches on it- mostly on the back.

When I got this bass, I was pretty stupid, and I didn't realize that the satin finish meant that it didn't need to be waxed with that nifty wax they give you. That means there are some shiny spots- mostly the area right below where the fingerboard meets the bridge, but also the bass side of what would be the lower bout if you held it like an upright.

Other things- the black shininess has worn off the tops of the saddles and the screw on the rear part of the bridge and the pickup screws. Also, a tiny bit on the knobs and the slightest bit on the tuning machines. The MEC logos were worn off the pickups a long time ago- not sure how, it certainly wasn't intentional.

Last item- the nut originally had these little plastic tabs on either side of it. They break at the slightest provocation (such as adjusting the nut) so they're long gone. I don't think they serve any function- the bass plays and sounds terrific.

Other than that, it's perfect!!! All kidding aside, this is the only Warwick I've ever liked- it sounds AMAZING with piccolo strings on it (I've been using it to play Michael Manring songs for the past couple years), but of course I would put regular gauge strings on it and set it up accordingly if the buyer wishes.

Comes with Warwick gig bag- the inside is torn, so it might not be great for everyday use, but it's a nice gig bag and if you are decent at sewing, it'll be good to go. Also comes with Limited Edition booklet dealie with superfluous wax and allen wrenches and a manual and truss rod key.

I'd like to get $1250 + shipping, but send me an offer, and we can talk. Not looking for trades unless you have a Fodera Emperor II 6 string or an all-original Pre-CBS P Bass that you want to trade straight up.

Thanks for the interest! Real pics to follow.

Shoot. Well I thought I put up two of me playing but they seem to have not made it. I'll take some tomorrow.

Thanks! It's funny, I actually think the unadvisable waxing and the lack of logos on the pickups makes it look cooler!

Turn it into a 5 string and I'd be very interested!
Beautiful bass, just not what I'm after at the moment.
