My U-Bass has taken over in couch-noodling duties, so this one needs a new home.
It's an Ovation Elite B778TX with OP-Pro onboard preamp/EQ/tuner, and Ovation issued deluxe TKL HSC. Currently strung with the original brass roundwounds. The original nut broke near the E-string when I strung her with some LaBella Tapewounds and the 0.115 did not fit. Ovation sent me out 2 replacement nuts (one ivory and one black). I'll include the original nut (fixable) and the ivory replacement nut.
The new bowl style is nice as it has a flat area for easier playability while seated (see last pic). This bass plays and sounds great. It projects nicely and I had no problems staying in the mix unplugged with my 6-string friend.
Ships with a heavy-duty yet plush TKL hard-shell case! So sayeth Ovation: "Ovation's [B778TX] 4-string bass guitar features a solid-spruce top with scalloped X-bracing for superior note definition, and its classic Mid-Depth cutaway composite body delivers balanced acoustic tone and is comfortable to hold and play. Soundports on the bass-string side of the instrument enhance lower-frequency projection. The bass also features a satin-finished maple neck and a black-stained rosewood fretboard. Assuring correct string tension and intonation, a full 34" scale delivers harmonically rich timbres across the instrument's entire range. With its onboard compressor, the OP-Pro Studio preamp provides control over the attack and sustain of every note.
The Mid-Depth bowl blends elements of Ovation's Super-Shallow and Deep Bowl designs. Acoustically, the Mid-Depth bowl delivers impressive projection and rich tone, yet even smaller guitarists find it comfortable to hold and play. It's no surprise Ovation's LX, AX, and TX models all feature a Mid-Depth body: Its proprietary Lyrachord construction and roundback design let it outperform typical "box" guitars. For decades, hardworking musicians have relied on Mid-Depth Ovation guitars to cut through the mix, whether played acoustically in a living room or run through a concert hall sound system.
Designed in collaboration with jazz guitarist Al Di Meola and acoustic rocker Melissa Etheridge, the OP-Pro combines state-of-the-art audio quality with exclusive features designed to meet the needs of professional guitarists. The easy-to-operate unit offers 3-band EQ, a preset tone enhancement circuit, a battery status light, and a chromatic tuner. The OP-Pro will please even the most discriminating player."
You can find these selling online without the case for $679. I'll let her go with the deluxe HSC for $575 shipped ConUS $550 shipped ConUS $500 shiped ConUS $445 shiped ConUS $400 shipped ConUS!!!!!!
As far as trades go: I would be interested in an EBMM S.U.B.. ANY CONDITION. I have a soft spot for making those things purdy.

What is the country of manufacture?
What type of adhesive did you use to set the Black Nut?
How does the neck feel? Jazz-ish....Precision-ish??
Thanks!!!

2 small dabs of Gorilla Glue
Funny, I just realized that I have never picked up a Jazz in 32 years of playing. Not once.
It is 34" scale and 1 9/16" at the nut. I likened it to my EBMM Sterling if that helps.

Of course, an outright sale would be ideal.

$445 shipped!! The TKL HS case alone goes for $149. So we're basically at $384 off a virtually un-played $679 AEB.
Also still very much interested in an "apples to apples" trade for an EBMM S.U.B. (any condition).

No S.U.B.s for trade? Thought that would be a pretty even proposition, if not a little lopsided in favor of the other party.
