Beautiful bass. I looked hard at this the first time it was up.
One thing: Bridge spacing in the OP is listed as 18mm in one place and 3/4" in another. 3/4" is 19mm. It would be good to know which for sure. One way to check: 19mm (3/4") spacing at the bridge will measure exactly 3" from center-of-B-string to center-of-G-string at the saddles.
Sorry about that, the spacing is 18mm.
The bass was originally built for 18mm spacing(it was mine). I don't know if someone changed it along the way.
Thanks for chiming in to clarify Adam! Killer bass you had built btw.
My apologies, I was going off spacing specs from the previous seller's ad. Pic below of my tape measure at the bridge. I'm no expert at spacing by any means, looks just a hair under 3" to me.
To me, that photo suggests something smaller than 3/4" (19mm) spacing. Maybe 18mm. If you want to be exact, measure B to G and divide by 4. Or use calipers. Or figure 18mm, since the bridge doesn't appear to be adjustable.
Open to reasonable offers.
Bump for a cool guy to deal with!
$400 PRICE DROP
Hope I don't regret this but trying to fund the purchase of another bass on here so big $400 price drop. Now $1700 FIRM, shipped in a case. Now's your chance to score a $3,500 bass that's only 1 year old for less than 1/2 the cost new.
Preamp - Stellartone ToneStyler
For those who asked about the preamp, it's a passive tone control Stellartone ToneStyler
From their website:
The revolutionary ToneStyler has not one, but an array of 6 selectable capacitors and roll-off points, including "true bypass". For the first time, players can adjust the frequency of the roll-off point... not simply the overall loudness of mids & highs. You choose exactly how much treble & midrange to retain, and where to cut it off. Plus, the small value capacitors greatly reduce pickup loading; this noticeably boosts your guitar's clarity and output level.
Powerful and precise control of treble & mid frequencies is provided at last... and that weak, muddy sound is completely eliminated!
Nice demo of the ToneSyler here on YouTube.
Pavel is still available FS/FT hit me up!!!
Pavel deal done...but at least its staying in Texas!
Thanks all for your interest.
