FS: Peavey Axcelerator 5 String (USA) w OHSC + Minty

Sign in to disble this ad
As my GAS has me big game hunting for a couple of specific high end basses, I will be liquidating some of my lower and mid ranged basses to both raise cash and free space.

For sale is my Peavey Axcelerator 5 string with original hard case. Crafted in the USA, these basses share many design features and components with the flagship Cirrus line.

The bass features a slim neck with a 35" scale neck with pao farro board and a long sleek body fitted with 18 volt electornics, the VFL pickups you find in the higher end Cirrus line and a very high end Wilkinson USA bridge.

The bass is in incredible condition-- 9.9/10. There are a couple of incredibly superficial compression dings about the size of a pencil tip that I tried to picture. Otherwise she is perfect. The HSC is also in great condition.

This bass is light as a feather, even in the case, and a joy to play with a really nice and tight B string. An incredible value in a USA made 5 string.

I am asking $ SOLD shipped CONUS-- priced to sell quickly.

Pics below. Please PM any questions.

Thanks!

IF anyone was looking for a mid-way point between Pbass and Cirrus... this is it...

They can be setup to have incredible 1mm action and have a midway sound... not really hifi.. not really passive.

Nice! That Wilkinson bridge is that same one that came on the (very expensive) Peavey B Quads....

I wouldn't consider a Axcelerator a low end bass.

Can a Peavey buff weigh in here and talk about this vs. the Forum? Looks like the same (newer) model?

Similar family and vibe..

Difference is many axcellerators are 5 string with 2 pickups... many will have nicer hardware

sound is high output active without being hifi.. they're a cool 1/2 way point between a Pbass and Cirrus.

If I remember correctly Bass player gave it an annual award.

I can setup an Axcellerator tons nicer than any Millenium or Cirrus

Not sure if you noted it's a Wilkinson Bridge... what spacing would you want on it?
