FS: Peavey Axelerator 5 (USA) **NEAR-MINT** with OHSC

Continuation of the bass purge ... up for grabs is a great USA made five string for a bargain basement price!

Peavey Axcelerator 5
  • metallic charcoal with pearloid pickguard - my personal fav finish in this model
  • 35 inch scale
  • tilt back headstock
  • thin maple neck / pau ferro fb
  • Peavey VFL active pickups
  • 2 band EQ provides warm vintage voicing ... to borrow from MNAirHead, think: "Cirrus meets P Bass"
  • Wilkinson bridge
  • OHSC
Excellent condition!! only a couple tiny dings - shown in photos.

More pics here (from Roger Miller - thanks again!!)

Recently set up by MNAirHead (thanks again Tim!). This bass has the *lowest action* of any bass I have owned!! Practically plays itself!

This bass is an amazing value! Will take $325 shipped CONUS.

Caveat: A close friend of mine has been using this bass in his home studio. He is currently auditioning my Milly 5 Plus which I suspect may oust the Axcel from his grips. However, if he decides to save some coin and keep the Axcel, I will be pulling this down. I apologize if this causes any undue GAS flare ups.

I'm not sure how the spacing is set currently (can measure if needed), but it feels similar to my Milly 5 Plus.

However spacing is fully adjustable with the Wilkinson bridge.

If it's similar to the Millennium I it should be 17.5mm

The Wilkenson bridge allows extreme string spacing adjustment. The only limiting factor would be when the strings go past the edge of the fretboard. These are great basses. Lightweight basswood and top quality parts and build.

These are in the vibe and family of USA millennium and cirrus

Wilkenson are cool the "fully adjustable" is more for manufacturing - all basses have an intended design that's tough to be alter

------

Ive played and set up this bass - please pm me with questions

Great seller and condition

If was a different brand and known model the bass could easily compete against production customs in the $2000 range

I loved my accelerator(s).

Solid rock gig bass

^ thanks for the comments Tim.

My friend doesn't want this so it is available for TBers.

I have had one offer on it and I'm waiting to hear back from that potential buyer.

This bass is an 8.5/10... no buckle rash... good frets etc...

$325 is a VERY solid price for it.
