FS: Peavey Fury - early model

Sign in to disble this ad
Here we have an early model Fury looking for a new home. Has the super ferrite passive pickup. Just sounds awesome. Natural body with a black pickguard. Bass is in great shape and was recently professionally set up by my luthier. He put a new set of D'Addario strings on it too. Only blemishes are some slight belt buck rash on the back and one very small spot on the fretboard where the finish is gone. Both are pictured. Comes with original Peavey molded case. I have owned several older Peavey Fury basses, and this is by far the best one. Just need the cash for other things.

Now $230 shipped in the lower 48! No international sales. No trades. Money order or cashiers checks only. Thanks!

Is this a 1.65-ish P-style neck vs the 1.5 J-style neck on the later Furys?

You got it, this would be the early 1.65 neck. Thanks for the question!

I'm shocked. I wish someone had sold me a T-20 or one of these instead of a T-40 when I was a teenager. Absolutely amazing basses--lightweight, great necks, KILLER sound!

My 2 cents,
-GB

Also wanted to mention that I am willing to meet someone between our locales, within reason, if you want to check out this bass. Willing to lower the price for such a situation too, as it would save me shipping costs. I know there is a Fury person out there for this beast.
