Hey folks,

My G-bass is going on the block. It's red sparkle, excellent shape, Cirrus 3-band 18v preamp. Hot pickups, thin fast neck, great playing bass. Nearly perfect shape.

Pics:

Bought a bass, so I'm looking for cash!

Cash price: 375 + shipping in gig bag (and boxed of course

Updated figures and everything. Sale only now. I'll throw in the original preamp if for some reason you'd want it, although the current one is definitely an upgrade.

I'd watch what you say. SOME people around here don't take too kindly to asking for better pics

Hey, sorry about the cell phone pics guys, I ran out of batteries taking the Steinberger pics and never got around to finding some more I'll post some more in the next day or two. The red sparkle finish does not photograph well though and there are no dings to highlight, it's in great shape.

One thing to bear in mind about this bass is that the frets are in fine shape AND it has a 2-way adjustable neck so you can get whatever feel you want (it has a neck pitch adjustment and truss rod) - and of course the bridge.

I have it set up for slapping right now with pretty high action, so photographing it wouldn't say much about what sort of action this is capable of (which I perceive to be EXTREMELY low if you want that, due to the neck adjustments).

Bump.

I've had the question on Canadian shipping asked: I would rather not. If you really, really want the bass and are willing to cover the entirety of UPS ground shipping (very expensive) to your locale then I will do it. Bear in mind that I have seen problems with Canadian customs before and it is quite irritating to see your package held for a month or some crap.

The bass is still at this moment available.

Still available. Buy mine for 400, or buy Daddy's for 500 without the sweet preamp upgrade. Or, wait around forever for one to show up for 350 and wind up kicking yourself for missing out on a bass that will never depreciate and plays like a bass that's three times what you put into it. Just sayin

For anyone who is curious here are the two preamp boards -

Original:

New:

The old one has no real identifying marks on it but the new one says "Peavey Cirrus Bass Preamp" on it which I failed to notice in my last look. I don't know what the upgrade was exactly but it sounds wonderful and I'll send you both.

The guy I bought it from said that he upgraded it with a Cirrus USA preamp board although he didn't provide any details.

If someone bought my Axestar, I'd probably jump in this. I had a black one and should have kept it for a Darkstar conversion

Thank Goodness! Now I can stop trying to figure out how to sneak it past my wife.

... It's not like she'd really notice the extra bass (as they all look the same to her) ... BUT she would notice another BIG box for shipping.

lol, i can empathize there I only ever keep 2-3 basses at a time but I still get funny looks when new stuff shows up.
