SOLD (pending payment)
So, I picked up this T-40 a little over a year ago and it's been my workhorse, but I need to thin the herd for a little cash.
I'm asking $375 shipped for the bass with a hardshell case (either rectangular, tolex-covered wood or molded plastic teardrop, your choice).
The bass is the natural finish with black pickguard. Toaster-style pickups (don't know the year of manufacture, but I think the toasters put it late 70's). All electronics work, all tuners, knobs, etc. are stock. Neck is in great shape, actually the best one of any of my three T-40s. No major wear or damage, body has some wear on the back (buckle-rash) and edges, but not major chips or dings.

Your car will break! Those T-40's are the Sherman Tanks of basses! Rock solid! Peavey really knew how to make them! I owned one way back when they first came out....
