FS: Peavey TL-Five, translucent red, fantastic condition

Sign in to disble this ad
SOLD!!!

I'm experiencing a brief respite in my Hoarding Disorder and trying to get this sold before it kicks back in.

This is a Made in USA, Peavey TL-Five, in translucent red color, with gold hardware. 24-fret ebony fretboard with oval mother-of-pearl inlays. It has VFL pickups and the control knobs are 2 regular knobs and 2 stacked knobs. So, it has Volume, Blend, stacked Treble/Bass boost/cut, and stacked Mid boost/cut and Mid frequency sweep.

This bass is in awesome condition. The only notable flaw is at the very tip of the headstock where the finish was (I think) rubbed off while it was in shipping inside the hard shell case.

It comes in the original hardshell case with all the original case candy, including the original price tag (of $1,499).

It can be yours for $650, shipped FedEx Ground to the CONUS, in the OHSC.

- has Dunlop strap lock buttons.

- If you want to hear a sound clip of it, I posted one a while back in this thread:

Thanks, guys! Believe me, I will not be upset if this doesn't sell. With the stuff I'm doing right now, I don't see myself really playing this TL any time in the next year (beyond occasional noodling just to reacquaint myself with it). But I could easily see myself really missing it some day - and, of course, by then, I'll have NO chance of finding another one this nice.

Maybe I should just buy a bigger house...

Oh you can try it, but you better bring a minimum of $3,500 unless it's a new Peavey Cirrus.

Now you guys are starting to make me re-consider selling this one. I haven't played it in a while. I'm going to have to break it out for a few sessions and give it another chance to squeeze back into the middle of the herd.

bump to a cool guy...

This has all the refined hand work of a TL and the finishing points of a Cirrus.

This is the final era of the TLs... worth owning.

I got my TL-5 about 4-5 months ago. One of the BEST purchases I've ever made. It's a keeper for me!! Whoever takes this one will be a happy camper!
