FS - Pedulla Buzz 4 String

It took me 13 years after I first played a Buzz to finally get one, and so I thought this day would never come. I absolutely adore this bass, but I just don't have gigs that call for it which means I just don't play it. She sits in my closet waiting for that one time a month that all my homework is done, the kids don't need anything, the wife has run out of honey-do's, and all my regular practice for gigs is complete to be played. That stinks, it's too nice a bass to just sit. It is my unicorn so this is upsetting, and if she doesn't sell, well...then she doesn't. It's time to put the cash into another fretted bass that I will actually play. I haven't bought a fretted since 1996 so this should be interesting!

Anyway, this bass is a 1994 and in great shape for it's age. There are little chips and dings here and there and I think I captured most of them in the photos. There are a few minor dings on the back of the neck that I couldn't seem to get to show up in photos, but nothing that I've ever been able to notice while playing so hopefully it won't be a problem for you either. There is a bitsy amount of rust on the pickup screws, but that is to be expected in a bass this age. I suppose if that really bothers you, you can contact Pedulla for replacements. Please go over the photos carefully and ask questions ahead of making an offer.

This has the original pickups and electronics, along with the hard shell case and truss tool. All will be included in the sale. This bass is the single best playing fretless I've ever had my hands on, and it sounds exactly the way you expect a fretless Pedulla to sound. The action is set low and the bass does most of the work for you! There is slight wear in the polyester layer on top of the finger board, but not through it. Play wear is actually quite minimal. I took the pictures in bright sunlight because that tends to reveal most imperfections. This actually made the color of the bass look a little washed out/less intense than it is. The orange and yellow appear deeper under normal lighting conditions and the fretboard looks black. I had no idea there was any color to the board until I got it in the sun! This is one gorgeous bass in person!

This sale is confined to the lower 48 states, and buyer pays for shipping. Price is set at $1,600. Paypal is fine or you can send cashiers check or money order. If you are not paying via paypal, I will be verifying the funds prior to shipping (basically just making sure I didn't get sent a bogus check/mo).

Trade bait is listed below. Please keep trades limited to fretted 4 string basses with dark fretboards (i.e. no maple fretboards). I will not be adding cash so if your trade is more than mine don't worry about it, I can't do it. If your trade is less, please plan on adding cash. Also, no Fenders please, they just aren't for me. If you don't see your trade listed below, hit me up anyway cuz you never know!

Trades considered:
EBMM Big Al
EBMM Sterling (No Stingray's please, don't like the neck)
Zon
Pedulla
Modulus

Now for the bass porn!

If you have questions or would like to see an angle not included in this post, please let me know.

Thanks spufman! It really is awesome, but I just don't have time to show it any love if I'm not going to gig with it. It needs a better home than I am providing!

Hi, do you have the original Pedulla truss rod tool with the bass?
Thanks

20 years ago I bought a Pedulla Series II and tried a Buzz while I was there.
Ooooo, what a magical bass.
Wish I had the funds, love that color.

I'm not really sure, I don't have a scale. It's much lighter than my B Quad 4 though. It also feels lighter than the Fender Jaco Signature fretless I used to own. I know that doesn't provide you with an actual weight, but hopefully gives you some sort of reference point.
