OK, I lied. The nick is obviously on the BOTTOM horn and is facing back, not front. No nicks to paint are visible from the front.

one other correction

According to the Pedulla website, the body is "soft maple". It's definitely on the lightweight side.

Are you the first owner? How are the frets?
If preamp has been replaced to 3 band, is treble and bass on knob top/bottom? how is it configured? How would you compare original to suhr?

I bought it from the original owner, a friend in Dallas. The knobs are now Volume, sweep, stacked bass/treble, mid.

The Suhr preamp is a nice one, and I'd say it's a bit brighter and open than the original Bart (they're sometimes a bit dark). It opened it up a bit. To really get the benefit of the Suhr, a second batter would be in order, but I never found a good place to rout (and routing a perfectly good bass scares me).

The frets have some wear, but not that you'd notice. This has been out of rotation since I got my Watts and it is now a distant third on the rotation since my new Regenerate P. It's a great bass and was my main player for 2 years or so. The neck is rock solid. I've never had to adjust it and it's still nice low action.
