Smile FS - Pedulla Thunderbass

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey guys,

I paid my $20 for a good place to sell this thing outside of evil-bay!

I have a 5-string Pedulla Thunderbass from 1994. It's got a beautiful purple flame finish I don't think they do anymore. There are some small scratches and dings but overall the bass is in good shape. Also, the pots are scratchy and need some basic work. I bought this bass about a year ago from a rich friend who's dad bought it new for him at the age of 14 when he told him he wanted a bass. The thing sat in it's case for the overwhelming majority of it's life. Included is the pedulla owners kit with the special truss rod tool and a hardshell case.

Anyway, I'd like to get $1250 + shipping. If the buyer wants to use paypal that is fine but I'd rather do checks/money orders or google checkout (free until jan 2008). Not interested in trades.

Contact me by phone, email or through here.

Wow that bass is gorgeous. Is that a flamed purple heart top or maple?
Where is $1300 when you need it?

Thanks for the compliment.. I believe Pedulla uses a maple top but I could be wrong.

This is the 17.5 mm version. I find it to be a lot more easy to play, but I also have small hands.

thanks for the compliment. It really is a fine instrument. Back before I bought it I had a spector rebop bass that was OK. I went to my buddy's house one day and played his dad's thunderbolt and I couldn't believe the way the thing rumbled with every note! It's almost like every fret on every string is a sweet spot as opposed to most basses which have a couple real sweet spots and a bunch of stiff "choked" sounding/feeling notes. It's truly a world class instrument and deserves an owner who will treat it right and play the hell out of it. I am a hack bass player and this thing is quite simply too good for me. I hate to see it go as if there's one piece of equipment I'd call my "baby" this would be it. I found it much easier to part with my Sonor cast bronze snare drum.

It is very nice, but it is not a maple "top" - the wings are solid maple - very unique. I have one similar to yours but Vintage Cherry Sunburst instead.

That's a nice price too.

Wow, no one's taken this yet? I was just playing one of these yesterday and I was in awe of how easy the neck was and how well it sounded. These basses are awesome. Whoever gets this won't regret it. Dude, $1300 is a freakin' steal for a bass of this quality.

Bump for an awesome bass.

Great Bass!

Bump for a great bass at a great price! I have the same model in vintage cherry burst. This is a great bass. Whoever buys it could send to Pedulla and have it upgraded with the lastes pickups and Thunderguts circuitry and have a killer bass at a steal of a price.

bump!

We're getting really close to christmas so I doubt anyone will want it in the next week, but let me know if you'd like to buy after christmas. The bass is still very available!

Bill
