I bought this beautiful bass in March 2006 from a bass shop and the ebony ramp(s) was(were) already installed. I don't know who did it but they did an awesome job in workmanship and matching ebony woods. Unique addition.

This Thunderbass doesn't have any coating on the natural ebony board. Ebony is the wood used on most good double basses so you can dial in all the mwah you need. |

If it were a little cheaper, I could go the Pedulla conversion route which would add about $750 plus shipping to and from Pedulla each way at $90 a pop. Wheels turning, I smell smoke........this bass is stunning to say the least. Uggggggh.

He also will put his finish on non-Pedulla bass fingerboard as well. I'm getting ready to send in my PentaBuzz for a fingerboard refinish and I'm going to change colors at the same time for a few hundred more dollars. New set up and strings etc.
Check their services page for costs on all that stuff. He does great work.
