Thanks. I agree on the 'Wow' part, the 'wicked bass' part, and the 'wicked good price' part!

Here are some better pics in natural light - shows the true natural color better.

Does the Thunder fretless buzz as well as the Buzz bass? Or is it set up differently? I'm looking for a real "mwah" oriented bass, and haven't ever heard a Thunder fretless before...

The Pedulla Buzz basses get their distinctive sound from the epoxy coating over their (typically) ebony fingerboard.
This Thunderbass doesn't have any coating on the natural ebony board. Ebony is the wood used on most good double basses so you can dial in all the mwah you need.

This is so tempting if I didn't have 4 fretless basses already. I'm looking for fretted myself. If it were a little cheaper, I could go the Pedulla conversion route which would add about $750 plus shipping to and from Pedulla each way at $90 a pop. Wheels turning, I smell smoke........this bass is stunning to say the least. Uggggggh.

Michael will refinish any Pedulla bass with the Polyester he uses for a nominal fee plus shipping both ways. He also will put his finish on non-Pedulla bass fingerboard as well. I'm getting ready to send in my PentaBuzz for a fingerboard refinish and I'm going to change colors at the same time for a few hundred more dollars. New set up and strings etc.
Check their services page for costs on all that stuff. He does great work.

I've also thought about sending her in for a fret conversion but I already have an MVP 6 that I'm very happy with so it doesn't really pencil out for me.
It's a great possibility though.
