FS: Pelosi Fretless 5-string

I picked this beauty up in a trade even though I don't really play fretless because I just had to try a bass this unique. I haven't been disappointed at all, this Pelosi is a seriously cool bass. The layering of the wood in the body and the awesome walnut binding on the neck are just off the hook! The bass plays and sounds great! It actually has a very aggressive sound to it and the single pickup in the sweet spot is just right. The 35" scale gives the B string a ton of authority and tightness. It's also extremely light weight for it its size. Having owned a Carl Thompson before, I can definitely say that Pelosi captures the vibe very well. I just don't really play fretless and I'm a four banger kind of guy. I want to get a NV610 to go with my new Marshall Lemmy, so I'm going to let this go for a song.

Specs

17mm bridge spacing
1 3/4" nut width
35" scale length
Gotoh lightweight tuning machines
African ebony headstock veneer, truss rod cover and pickup cover top.
Bookmatched koa top
bookmatched monkey pod back
Mahogany center core with padouk and wenge laminates.
Alder "wing" wood with black died maple laminate accent.
Quartersawn maple with laminate wenge/ sapele center for neck.
Black walnut binding on neck
Putty filled fret lines, fretboard sealed with oil
position markers on fretboard side in line with fret lines
ABM bridge
Bartolini pre-amp
Pelosi handwound Humbucker
8.5 lbs

This bass is in excellent, near new condition. The only flaw I can find are very minor marks on the fretboard.

Price: $1150 plus shipping, which is a good bit less than it was previously going for. I'd really like to head up to Jive sound and get that NV610 soon.

Oh man, I lusted for this so bad when it was up last time. Sadly, no room for it now, but bump for a gorgeous bass at a tear-jerking price.

I played this Bass when Anthony had his shop in Brooklyn. It was a great Bass all around. Killer tone and played unbelievable. Great price for a Bass of this quality. It won't disappoint for sure!!!
