***PRICE DROP***FS UNTIL THIS FRIDAY ONLY - 2010 Lakland Skyline 55-60 Custom

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all,

I have a beautiful...and I MEAN beautiful Lakland Skyline 55-60 Custom that I am entertaining the idea of unloading here...GAS is a horrible thing....anyway, this bass is really stunning and one of the best I have ever owned...I am thinking of moving back to four stringers for good...so, I am throwing this one on the market (still not 100% sure but if the right deal/trade comes along or the right cash comes along??)

I am including this Protec Contego gig bag (see link)
http://www.ptcases.com/items.aspx?Pr...bCategoryID=45

Plus I have two sets of strings in addition to the original Lakland rounds that are on it currently...a set of Chromes that are the SL to fit this 35" scale bass...they have been used a handful of times and they are awesome in combo with this bass...as well as a Fender set of rounds still in the packaging....

I paid a fair bit for the custom pickguard from Jeannie's as I had to send in the original pickguard for a tracing...so I have the original white pickguard in addition to the beautiful tortoise guard Roger made for me...

I will add a separate post with my trade options/ideas...otherwise (and what might be the easiest) would be an outright cash deal...because of the $100 + gig bag and all the extras...I am looking to get $1200 shipped to Canada or the USA...thanks TB'ers...and I promise you this is a keeper....if I had the money to keep this nice of fiver on hand for the occasional usage I would most definitely hang on to it....no issues, no dings...minty and sweet...

Trade interests...

OK...so, if I was do a trade on this, I am ONLY interested in Fender or Lakland four strings...preferably jazz basses...

Fender Road Worn jazz (sunburst preferred)
Fender Japan jazz bass...I would really LOVE to get my hands on a Fender '66 Reissue MIJ jazz bass (white with blocked and bound rosewood fretboard neck & matching headstock!!)
'62 or '75 AV reissue jazz
Lakland DJ4 or anything blocked and bound with rosewood fretboard

Ampwise, I am leaning towards buying a Aguilar TH 500 but I MIGHT entertain a TC Electronic RH450 head as a partial trade...or a ToneHammer pre/di pedal...

As far as accessories go, a nice higher end double gig bag would be cool...

Let me know what you have that would be of interest and we will go from there...if not, cash is always good...

I see that Bass Central has this same model of bass for $1313US so you would get the custom pickguard plus the original guard, wicked well protected Protec Contego gig bag...three sets of strings (two roundwound, one flat) and not too mention the shipping costs for free...nice deal for the nicest five string bass I ever laid my hands on...thanks TB'ers...

weight...

damn good question...no scale handy...i will get that for you...but with no scale in the house, it might be a bit of time....IF I dare wager a guess...it has to be under ten pounds...I have an old '76 Yamaha P Bass 4 string that is waaayyy heavier...it is a comfy bass, not what I would ever refer to as a heavy bass especially for a five'r...i wish i knew the weight...i will post that weight when i have it...

finally got a weight on this bass....9.7lbs

Hey there...I grabbed a digital scale today....this bass weighs in at 9.7lbs

I really can't believe how LITTLE action there has been on this one...granted, I take crappy pictures...but I can get more if anyone needs them....but you should get the jist of it from the pics on there...

What the pics do not show, is how nicely this bass plays/feels and sounds...if it was a four string I wouldn't consider selling it for a split second...
