FS (Possibly FT) Wenge-Necked Warmoth Jazz Bass - Beautiful!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all,

Here we have the Jazz bass to end all Jazz basses. I received this about a month ago, and it KILLS. Beautiful to look at, and amazing tone. From what I can tell, the construction is as follows:

-Alder body w/ some sort of tobaccoburst
-Wenge neck and fingerboard
-Seymour Duncan Antiquity Jazz pickups
-Hipshot bridge
-Grover tuners

The tone is gnarly, to say the least. Thunderous lows, grinding mids, and clear highs that aren't harsh. I did all the EQ'ing on my amp, and I feel like this bass gives more output than an active G&L. Unfortunately, I find myself needing cash to cover the rent and utilities that my ever-so-responsible roommate ditched on and left me with. And I just bought a new car (2009 VW Rabbit ) to replace my car that caught on fire... $850 $800 OBO shipped.

As far as trades, the only thing I'm really looking at is a Roland Juno-G or some sort of acoustic/electric/hollowbody bass + cash from you.

That's about it... I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

99.9% of the time I don't like any "burst" finishes, but this is that .1% I do!

Yeah man, it's beautiful! The colors are very soft and the grain really shines through. The bass sounds nowhere near as mellow as looks though!

Bump. $850 OBO peoplez. Feel free to make me an offer. I'd like a Roland Juno-G. I think I'm through with bass, and I'm going back to piano.

Make offers! A warwick corvette fretless + cash would tempt me as well.

And replied. Shoot me some offers people! I'd really like a Roland Juno-G, or a comparable keyboard as I'd much rather play piano than bass.

I've gotten some good offers, but I'd really like an outright sale... I'm gonna hold out just a little longer...

Ive played some Warmoth/parts basses that put production basses to shame...in fact i still regret selling a parts bass a couple of months ago, it beat my fender custom shop hands down

They really blow Fender out of the water. I think the custom-made connotation turns a lot of people off to them... Thanks for the good words. Nice avatar! Radiohead's my favorite band, and I have a tattoo of the crying minotaur inside my right bicep...

Ah I can imagine... That's a good idea for placement though. Chest was my most painful so far, and all I have is an outline... The colored product will be worth the pain... I hope. Haha.

I'm getting a lot of interesting offers, but nothing solid yet. Cash is king as I would prefer an outright sale.

Yea, I'd be interested in everything but the neck!
If I could, I'd buy this bass, sell the neck, and get a nice Warmoth Maple/Pau-Ferro Jazz neck. That body is to die for!!
As soon as my Cirrus sells, You might have a buyer.
