Thanks everyone, espescially Jacob and Enzo for your interest. PRICE DROP!!!
I have 3 instruments up for sale. A Rob Allen Mouse Bass, a Warwick Dolphin Pro I 4 string neck thru and a custom ordered Nash Jazz Bass. No trades please.
First up is a Rob Allen Mouse Bass. Beautiful walnut top, ash body, birdseye maple neck with goncalo alves unlined fingerboard board, 30" scale, hipshot tuners.
What can I say? This is an unbelievable bass. It is truly special as everyone who has touched and heard this bass has said to me "never sell it!" I am selling it to fund another purchase. Price Drop $1800 $1700 (o.b.o.) plus shipping. Includes aftermarket hard case.
Second is a 2004 Warwick Dolphin Pro I 4 string, neck thru. Ovangkol body and neck, 26 frets, active J/TJ MEC pups, 2 band preamp. I love this bass and it gets a wide variety of tones from fat Gibson Humbucker to Jaco on steroids. Finger style to slap, this bass does it all. The neck is amazing. This bass has been setup at Rudy's in NYC and is a great bass to play. I am the original owner.
$2000 plus shipping. Includes Warwick Rock Case gig bag.
Third is a 2008 Nash Custom Jazz Bass, Burgundy Mist with matching Headstock, Concentric knobs and Lollar Pickups. Ash body, Maple Neck, Rosewood fingerboard. It weighs 9 lbs even on the bathroom scale. I custom ordered this light relic bass.
The nut has been replaced by Matt Brewster at 30th Street Guitars in Manhattan, NYC. Matt also reshaped and refinished the neck and cut the nut to match a 1965 Fender Jazz Bass that I like. These mods make this bass a killer to play. I receive many compliments from bassists and guitar players alike when they pickup this bass. I am the original owner. This is one funky bass! It comes with the original Gator case. $1300 plus shipping. SOLD

| | | | That mouse is unbelievable! If it only had some sort of markers! (I'm a rookie at FL, my bad).
GLWS!

| | | | I think they have the side dot markers, but I'm with you jbossolo. Trying to hold out for the lined fretless neck. |

I used to think I needed fret lines but after playing an unlined for a short while I realized I didn't need them. Sure, it takes practice but after a while you put your hand in the proper position naturally and your ears tell you to roll your fingers up or down into the note (usually up). The short scale, huge fundamental and few overtones makes it easy to hit the correct notes.
Also, you would absolutely ruin the look of this bass with frets or fretlines. I had contemplated the short lines on the edge of the fingerboard on my custom order and decided against that. No need for training wheels. |

Just a quick note here to say it was a pleasure meeting and doing business with Paul. I purchased his Nash bass a few days ago. I went over to his apartment, sat around and talked about music for a bit, played bass, and generally had a very nice time. And he's got some great basses!!
