I love it but I am a USA Cirrus guy. Gr8 tone from the pickups.
A MM pickup and a Jazz pickup give this bass a very versatile tone. The variable mid eq lets you dial in frequencies to help out either end of the spectrum w mid bass tone, low mids, high mids, sharp frequencies, or mellow low bass ballsy tone this bass has it.
Plus the jazz pickup and MM pickup will give you just about any tone you want Think USA Lakland w/o the high pricetag.
A Jazz style neck 1.5" nut width, 35" scale and very light weight in the 8lbs. range make this bass very desirable for gigging. Super low action on this bass - lower than my Cirrus 4
and I love low action.

A Flame top and an alder body make this one a tone monster.

- Peavey Millennium USA
- Alder body, tiger eye maple top, maple fretboard, maple neck
- 35" scale neck, 21 frets
- Hipshot tuners with drop D
- Peavey VFL musicman/jazz pickups - DEAD SILENT !
- 18v active preamp
- Millennium 3 band active EQ with variable mid filter dial in any mid frequency
- CUSTOM block inlays done by Mirabella Guitars of Long Island New York
- 8.8 lbs
- Original Hardshell case
- Still has plastic on the rear covers
- Condition - 9.8 out of 10 !!!!!!
- THIS IS THE NICEST, MOST PRIMO CUSTOM BASS you'll ever find for under $1k !

$679 shipped CONUS PayPal is great. Make me an offer I can't refuse

The only negative, whatsoever, and this is strictly a negative for me, is the 35" scale. It took me a year of short scales to finally get comfortable with the 33 1/2" (Ricks) and the 34". Otherwise it's flawless!!

35" scale to me is just as easy to play as 34". It took maybe about a week of playing to finally get the hang of 35" not much of a jump though. The Ricks 33 1/2" scale is a little bit different where as you think it is a 34" scale and u usu wind up going over the fret hehehehehehe.
To each his own and thank you kindly for the input. I do appreciate it. The bass is flawless!!! Again many thanks to a Peavey connoisseur such as yourself to lend information to this thread. You are a person of very fine taste in bass guitars.

NICE
I really (personally) do NOT understand the big deal on scale, I have now and have always played both 34-35 scale and never even notice (unless I am tuning down then the 35" scale is actually a plus) tiny bot more tension maybe thats it

Thanks Gen. I'll never forget back in Feb of '09 when the worship leader needed a bass player and I said I would give it a try. I sat down with my friend's 34" Ibanez, and after playing 26" 6 string guitars for 40+ years, it felt like I was reaching across the room to reach the first fret!

Funny thing is, after a year of short scales, I picked up a 34" and thought for sure it was a 32"! So maybe you're right, maybe it wouldn't be that big of a deal.

Jack,

I thought so myself when I picked up a 35" scale. I thought now way could I ever do it and a week later the bass felt like part of my hand like it was part of my DNA to paraphrase a friend.
