Arrow FS: Rare Vintage 1981 G&L L1000, original *everything*

SOLD!

RARE Leo Fender-made Vintage 1981 G&L L1000 bass guitar - asking $900 + shipping (or local Los Angeles pickup is fine). Excellent condition, especially considering this is a 30-year old bass (i.e., the usual minor scratches, but no problems -- neck, frets, etc. in great condition). Original *everything*. Sounds absolutely incredible.

All original, mahagony body, sunburst finish, one-piece neck with ebony fretboard & comfortable 1-11/16" nut. 3-position pickup switch for humbucking, single coil and bass boost options ("OMG mode"). One of the most powerful and versatile passive basses ever made.

I'm sure I don't need to tell you guys this, but you rarely get the opportunity to buy one of these and you'll quickly see why these are so sought after.

Includes the original hard case.

Serial # B003146.

I'm new to the forum (Hi, everybody!), but I have an extensive sales history on Gearslutz.com with 100% perfect feedback on lots of very high-end items.

More pics to follow in "bump" posts... until this beauty is sold!

Some inquiries... a few questions I'll answer here:

1.) No "Fender Flip" neck issue (apparently a rather common problem) or "S-curve" warping. Frets are in good shape too.

2.) The bass itself weighs about 10 lbs.

3.) After some fiddling with various dimensions for shipment, I have determined that shipping in the continental USA ("lower 48") is about $65. Probably a little more with insurance. This is via FedEx Ground/Home Delivery.

4.) Yes, I take PayPal.

Ok!
