This is one of Ray's earlier models which are not made anymore and are quite rare on the marketplace. There is a neck repair which is a very solid fix and it takes nothing away from the playability or tone of this bass. I have learned that the repair is Ray's work. Not sure of the year, Brian @ The Low End has pictures of it in his sold gallery from 2003 so at least 8 years old. Really nice shape with normal players wear.

Specs:
Alder Body W/Flamed Birdseye top(Mahogany Layer between)
Maple Neck W/ rosewood board
34" Scale
About 8.5 Lbs
Haz Lab Preamp Bass/Mid/Treble/Vol/Balancer/on off/act-pas
Pickups not sure in Maple Covers, I'd guess Barts
18 MM Spacing
1.75" @ nut/ 3.125" @ 24th fret
Gig Bag

The repair is the 4th picture, down by the body.
When friends of mine have played the bass, they didn't know it was there until I showed them.

I sold this bass a while back. I believe the damage was a crack but not sure what caused it. What I do know is that Ray Rogers fixed the crack by removing the damaged area and replaced it with a layer under the maple. This fix is extremely stable and does not effect playing one bit.

This is one bad-ass R Bass. One of the early models which are getting harder and harder to find and well worth the asking price.

It seems new than mine by 1 year or so, as we WERE sporting the same electronics setup, and I still will take my R bass over almost anything if I had to have just one.

Luckily, we can all own more than one if we choose.......if you need to see a lot of what he has made here is a good spot to check them out.

It's real hard to let go of it but unemployment is kicking my butt. New home construction in the midwest is pretty much nil.

I talked to Ray yesterday and asked him about this bass. He confirmed that he fixed it and he said that the fix is super stable. He said the bass fell from a stand and broke and something like that. He also told me that this bass sounds killer!!
Anyway, free bump and I wish I had the cash!

Thanks for the info Danny. It is a killer bass indeed, I really need to sell it to help with a mortgage payment so no reasonable offer will be rufused.
