FS Renaissance 6 basses - fretted and fretless

Sign in to disble this ad
I had these up for sale a year ago and decided to hold on to them in the end. Unfortunately, they haven't gotten much play time because of some on going hand issues. That, combined with some bills has them back on the block.

Rare Rick Turner Renaissance 6 string basses. One fretted, one fretless. Sequential serial numbers. Ships in a Renaissance gig bag. $2400 ea. or $4200 for the pair. Includes shipping in the continental US.

The basses are Koa. 35" scale. Neck is 2 1/8" wide at the nut. String spacing is .750

If you've played a Ren, you know that they are warm wonderful sounding basses. If not, you're missing out.

Oh, how I wish one of these was a fretted 5.

Gotta say, those are some beautiful basses. If only they didn't have so many superfluous strings.

I've ever only *heard* of this mythical set! If I had the cash, they'd be on their way to me now. Sadly for us, my Chief of Everything won't authorize a CC purchase.

These are killing me, don't know anything about them, but such original, amazing design.

I ended up playing a friend's fretless Renaissance 5 for quite a while on NYE. It was quite difficult to resist pulling up this thread and pull the trigger when I got home. Whoever gets either of these is going to be very lucky indeed.
