I'm no longer playing 4-string, so it's time to let go of this wonderful bass.
1998 Reverend Rumblefish, 47th bass made by the company. I'm the one and only owner, bought it brand new at Palmetto Music in Greenville, South Carolina.
Semi-hollow body, 21-fret skunk-stripe neck with rolled edges, rosewood board, Kent Armstrong J-J pickups. V/V/T controls.
The neck is the best I've ever played. In fact, when the late Greg Curbow built me a custom J-style bass in 2001, I had him measure the neck on this bass as a guide. It's that good. And, the bass just sounds awesome. These early Reverends really have something special in them.
Cosmetically, it's in great shape for a 13-year old bass. There are a couple of chips on the top of the headstock, a smudge behind the bridge from changing strings and some of the typical discoloration on the "white-wall" sides. I can take extra pictures if anyone wants.
It will ship with the cool, red plush-lined tuxedo case.
$775 shipped, CONUS only, no trades. USPS money order for payment. Thanks for looking.
Note: the gold bass in the third photo is long gone.
