Up for sale is a beautiful black 2000 Reverend Rumblefish J/J. The bass is in very good condition, with no structural issues.
The bass was set up and signed by Joe Naylor at Reverend:
(The serial number is crystal clear on the bass itself. I've just blurred out the last two digits for this posting...)
The "skunk stripe" neck on this bass is fantastic: very slim, smooth, straight, and fast. Unfortunately, I'm too used to P-Bass and Stingray necks to really appreciate it. If you're a Jazz neck person, this is your
There are only three cosmetic flaws that I can find: there are two very small dings on the headstock and a really, really small dent in the white body material, near where it meets the black face, around the jack area of the pickguard. The two headstock dings definitely came with the bass when I bought it. I never even noticed the other one, until I started taking photos...
There is some yellowing of the white material, mostly along the edges, but I believe that this is normal for a Rumblefish of this age.
The `Fish is wearing a custom mint pickguard from Dazbootman Pickguards. I'm also including the original silver/blue guard. The bass is currently strung with OEM-spec S.I.T. NR45100L Power Wound nickel strings (45-100), which are in great condition.
The bass comes with a hard shell Fender case, which fits the Rumblefish surprisingly well. The case is in good shape, with working latches, but is a little fiddly to close.
