Up for sale is my beloved 4003. As much as it pains me to have to let my dream bass go, I've got some other things I need the cash for, so I'd like to get it to a fellow TB'er who will show it the attention it deserves.

I got this bass in a trade with a fellow TB'er last year, and it was and still is in very good condition. It comes with the RIC hardshell case.

This bass has the push/pull vintage tone circuit to switch between the classic and modern Rick sounds. I've removed the bridge pickup cover, but it will be included with the bass.

$1500 shipped CONUSA

I tried to get any blemishes to show up in pictures, but it was quite difficult. It does have light buckle rash from the previous owner and a few surface scratches on the body, as well as a scuff on the upper corner of the headstock. None of the blemishes are noticeable unless you are up very close and none are deeper than the surface of the clearcoat.

These pictures are with the Hipshot brass replacement bridge. I plan on reinstalling the stock bridge before shipping this bass, or I will include it for an extra $100.

I believe it's a 2008, but I still have to confirm that.

The brass Hipshot bridge is the only direct replacement bridge available that requires no holes to be drilled in to a 4003. It's a major upgrade in terms of adjustability. The stock bridge on a 4003 has limited saddle height adjustment and requires you to remove part of the bridge to make adjustments. The hipshot is just like most any other bridge and adjusts on the fly. The Hipshot also allows for palm muting, but the stock bridge won't. If you're used to Fenders, or most other traditionally designed basses, then the Hipshot makes the bass feel more at home. It also has the benefit of adding more sustain as it is much heavier and more sturdy than the stock bridge. the downsides are that you lose the foam mutes that are kind of unique to the stock Rick bridge, and it looks a little different.

Hello. I'm very interested but have a couple of questions. I'm from Chile, wich means besides the final price i'll have to pay for shipping costs. So:

-would you send it here?
-final price?

PD: have no trouble paying through PAYPAL.

I'd be willing to ship internationally completely at your cost. PM me with more info and we can work out the details.

I bought it new, also. Really is a great player, wish I could buy it back, but alas, no fundage for that sort of thing. Apart from the minor cosmetic issues described I can attest that it saw very little serious use. Great bass, and great guy to do business with.

Okay, I'm going to give this a couple more days here, and then I'll have to put it on eBay, though I hate to do it. Going once...
