For sale is my darkstarred Laredo.

I picked it up a few months ago from fellow TB'er willsellout. It's a great bass, but I have my sights set on something else now (you know how it is...)

The bass is in great condition. The pics are a bit rough, but I assure you that it looks better in person.

Includes a really nice silver Ric hardshell case.

My asking price is $1,400. I will consider an American Fender P or J bass as partial trade, but I would need at least $500-$600 in cash.

I perfer to keep this a local deal for now -Southern California. Will ship, but buyer pays costs.

Thanks for looking!

-Mark

I've had quite a few questions about this bass. Here's a link to the previous owner's for sale add. Hopefully this will answer some of them.

F/S or trade: Rickenbacker 4004 Laredo w/ Darkstars

Feel free to keep the PM's coming though if there's anything else anyone would like to know.

I was the 2nd or 3rd owner of that bass. It is indeed a VERY cool Rick!

Coolest Ric I've ever seen!!! Always thought the laredos were cool, but with darkstars!? KILLER!!! Not to mention a killer price to match!! If I only had cash...

Oh well. I guess this is the "Oh Th'nap!" bump.

Awesome! I always suspected that this bass has been around the block, but this confirms my suspicions.

It has. Original owner sold to a friend of mine, who sold it to me, and I sold it back to him. He sold it again and I lost track of it until now.

I'm surprised it has been around so much as it is really a unique bass with fantastic tone and feel.

Good luck with the sale - it will make someone really happy.

Ok, this is the one and only price drop that I'm willing to do.

$1,400. If shipping is necessary, buyer pays all costs (packing, shipping, insurance.)

If it doesn't sell at this price, I'm totally fine with holding onto it.

Decided that I need to keep this bad boy. I would definitely regret letting it go.

Hope everyone has a safe 4th of July celebration!
