I went to Bass pro shop and to my surprise they didn't have a single bass guitar.

How would you describe the neck on this thing? Does it have that huge late 90's / early 2000's neck on it?

Hey everyone thanks for the interest. I got some more pictures to post. Let me try and answer some questions. First off, the bass is at my fathers house, as when i moved i did not take all of my basses/amps with me due to space. So i cant just go and weight it or get the answers immediately.

The neck. I am not a Ric player. I do not have experience in regards to earlier models. This is the only RIC ive owned, and have only played a few in stores. From comparing it to my other 4 string basses, i would say its thicker than your typical jazz, but not warwick thick. If you have played a spector euro 4 string, i find it comparable to them. But your mileage may vary.

I believe its a 2008 model, but i am not sure.

I am not interested in trades at the time.

I have one,and a Cheyenne II,too. Weight on these typically falls in the 7-9 lb range, they are light! 2008 would be before they went to the slimmer,2 piece necks,IIRC. Nice bass,GLWTS!

I personally prefer Laredos over 4000 series Ricks. Very nice. Is that a Duncan pickup in the neck position?

Is it the same string spacing at the bridge as the 4001/3?
Beautiful bass!

BUMP. I believe it is the same string spacing, as i said not familiar with other Rickenbackers.

This is a very comfortable ergonomic RIC. I bought it because i found it to be a great mix of Fender/Ric sound and style.
