FS: Rob Allen Mouse 30 fretted

Sign in to disble this ad
ON HOLD - PAYMENT EN ROUTE

I love my Rob Allen Deep 5 so much that I decided to try my hand at 4-strings after over a decade on 5-string. And this fretted Mouse is a stunning instrument, but alas, I'm just not a 4-string player any more.

Rob Allen Mouse 30 ($2000)
30" scale
fretted ($250 upcharge)
walnut top on chambered alder body
walnut neck ($200 upcharge)
extended fingerboard ($150 upcharge)
black hardware ($45 upcharge)
5.5 lbs
gig bag

Cost $2645 new. In perfect condition - built/picked up in Sept 2010.

NOTE: Sorry - not interested in any trades. I have some other basses on order and am set.

Sound is very much Rob Allen - big and fat. Get the "upright sound" with the help of frets.

$2000 shipped in the CONUS

Great bass at a great price. This one won't last long.

Hard to let it go - so damn light and easy to play and it sounds huge. But I find that I can't switch back and forth between 5 and 4. More's the pity...

Not many fretted models come up for sale. Someone should jump on this one. Beautiful. I wish I needed two!

I'm going to bump this one again. What a bass! I wish mine had that 'fretboard extension' thumb rest. That is a great option, and man, that walnut neck is beautiful.

I have a clip up on my Youtube channel of my fretted Mouse, which should be at least close to the tone of this one... really amazing instrument, great seller/TBer, and a beautifully upgraded instrument available now for less than the price of a new base model.

Update: ON HOLD - PAYMENT EN ROUTE

Thanks for the props. They are the stock La Bella tapes that Rob ships on his basses. This is a recording of the bass at a live gig - DI out of my pedal board.

Speaks quickly, nice punch, and sounds way bigger than its size. Fwiw, I prefer the walnut neck over maple both from a feel and tone perspective - well worth the upgrade price imho. Have one counter-offer that I'm waiting to hear back on and have responded to other PM offers.

Also, sorry, but I'm not interested in any trades. I have some basses on order so only straight sale.
