FS: Rob Allen Mouse Bass

SOLD! This bass has a wonderful new home in Westchester.

Up for sale only is my Rob Allen Mouse Bass. Beautiful walnut top, ash body, birdseye maple neck with goncalo alves unlined fingerboard board, 30" scale, hipshot tuners.

What can I say? This is an unbelievable bass. It is truly special as everyone who has touched and heard this bass has said to me "never sell it!" I am selling it to fund another purchase.

If you were to order one from Rob it is $2400 and 3 months wait. Why wait when you can have it now! You've heard the chatter, own what is going to be a classic in years to come.

Regarding the unlined fingerboard, I was apprehensive at first, worried about intonation. My fears were set aside after playing for a couple of hours. Now any fretless I get will be unlined....they look great.

$1700 (o.b.o.) plus shipping. Includes aftermarket hard case. No trades please.

I had a mouse. Everyone loved it. Said it sounded more like an amplified/plugged in upright than a real amplified/plugged in upright.

The 30" scale is actually very easy to play. Like taking an upright and shrinking it down. Very easy on your hand and you can play fast.

If I had a steady jazz gig I'd buy one again.

Oh, and that's one of the nicest looking Rob Allen's I have seen. The wood choices are amazing and look beautiful together.
