| | | | FS: Rollins Band bass: '91 Warwick Thumb Bass- played on Rollins Band "Weight" In honor of Henry announcing that the Rollins Band won't be reforming:
I'm selling the Warwick Thumb Bass I played on the Rollins Band "Weight" album, and on various Rollins Band tour dates. Price: $2500 Attachment 299178 Attachment 299179
Click on the link below to see a full set of pics of the bass : http://goo.gl/F2tTH
This bass has traveled all over the world touring, and is no longer in "mint" cosmetic condition. There are a couple of cosmetic issues on the front of the body of the bass (which you can see in the pics). The tuning peg for the "G" string is no longer firmly attached to the headstock, and there is about 1/2 inch of damage to the headstock in the area of that tuning peg. The bass can still be tuned properly though, and I've done both gigs and recording sessions with this instrument "as is".
I decided not to get the instrument refurbished before I sold it so that whoever bought it could refurbish it to their own standard (or not). The frets are actually in decent condition, as are the bridges (top and bottom). and the electronics are fine.
On the other hand, this bass SOUNDS GREAT! The wood has had 21 years to age, so the tone is mature. And, the MEC pick-ups have stood the test of time. It deserves a good home with someone who appreciates it, so I'm offering it here to the peeps on the Talkbass Forum first. $2500- Limited Time Offer
'91 Warwick Thumb Bass- Neck Through- MEC Pick-ups This bass is one of the instruments heard on Rollins Band's "Weight". |

Melvin, I too saw you in the 90's in Dallas and oddly enough just pulled out Weight and End of Silence this week for a listen. Such an amazing player and the bass is always driving the tunes. Keep it up! |

I listened to that one a lot. Tunes like Disconnect made me want to play bass. It was so present and an interesting spin on rock bass.
