Selling Roscoe Century V (one of a kind).
I'm the first owner. I custom ordered it around august 2006 and got it early 2007. In the last two years I've been using another bass, so this one is been sitting in its case since then.
It's one of the early Century flat top (not to be confused with the more recent cheap standard model).
Ash with Bubinga (water fall extra $). Maple neck with Ebony FB (extra $). It has a 19mm (extra $) string spacing. Special hardware black/chrome (extra $). Demeter preamp (extra $). Original Bartolini.
It has a single switch for parallel/single/series. Totally shielded because of the single coil mode (pups cavities are not shielded from the shop). Original hard case.

price list!)
The bass is in excellent shape, just a tiny wear in the "slap" area (it can be seen in the pics).
It plays like a dream. The neck is, in my experience, one of the best (if not the best) on the market. The fret job is a work of art!
The action can be set so stupid low.....
The Demeter pre is a rarity nowadays. It's smoother and a little scooped, compared to the standard Bartolini, but it has a very tight and crispy sound.
This bass has punch for days, with a very clean lows and bright highs.
The mids reminds me of a Music Man Sting Ray (with the pups in parallel).
The single coil is more similar to a jazz bass but with less bottom
(the placement of the pups is very determinant for the sound. The roscoe basses have the neck pup placed closer to the bridge than most of the "standard" traditional basses).
The series setting is more traditional Roscoe, fat and thick.
