| | | | FS: Roscoe Century V This bass has been lovingly cared for and is in excellent shape. It has an amazing flamey top. Hardly any marks. It has been gigged just a few times and always handled carefully. It is an amazing example of Keith Roscoe's craftsmanship.
This is the Century V Signature, which is the top of the Century line with the carved top and 5 piece neck.
Here are the specs (note: i have updated many of the spec's thanks to some great help from Gard):
- Pommele Sapele top
- Spanish Cedar body
- Natural Gloss finish
- Bartolini p/u's
- Aguilar OBP-3 preamp
- 35" scale
- Standard string spacing (18mm at bridge)
- Wedge neck
- Diamondwood nut
- Black hardware
- Birds-eye maple FB, Roscoe custom oval inlays
- Roscoe HSC
- approx weight is 9.8 lbs on my bathroom scale
- Price $2400

Good luck with the sale! | Thanks ... it is killing me to let it go, but I am selling several of my nice basses due to personal reasons. Otherwise I would never let this one go - it is outstanding. |

| | | | Let me put in my 2c on the inlays..
I know most Roscoe's don't have inlays. Most of the time they have amazing figured fret boards that look better uncovered. But on this bass, I gigged with it many times in clubs, and found the light colored FB and side dots was almost impossible to see!! The inlays were a major improvement in knowing where you are on the FB. They are standard Roscoe ovals ordered from the factory, but installed by the best shop in San Francisco, so it is a totally pro job. Just in full disclosure, the bass did not come from the factory with inlays.
At first, I wasn't sure I liked them, it was just a necessity to see the positions, but after a while they grew on me, and now I think it looks totally cool. |

This one would be perfect for what you want. It's also got the wedge neck with just enough wenge to phatten up the sound (and stiffen up the neck nicely).
.... and of course if you decided to sell later you wouldn't take the "purchased new" depreciation (unlike a new build).
Beautiful top and classy custom FB inlays! |
