FS Roscoe LG 3005 w/ Demeter

Sign in to disble this ad
to help pay for my recently-acquired 3006, i'm selling my 5-string:

LG body: solid 1-piece swamp ash, satin finish, grain enhanced
pickups: Bartolini
preamp: Roscoe Demeter
neck: maple/purpleheart/maple
fretboard: Bolivian Rosewood
nut: hand-carved Graphtech
inlay: standard 12th fret

i bought this bass less than a year ago from Blueberry Hill, and it's in very clean condition, currently set up with DR lo-rider ss strings (.045-.130), i have a brand new set i'll install...sound is very open and 'woody'--it's really a lot like a louder version of the acoustic sound of the instrument, the Demeter preamp is very transparent and works well with the inherent sound of the bartolini pickups to produce a clear tone that allows some growl from the swamp ash body to come through

includes the Roscoe hardshell case in excellent, as new condition since i carried it in a Roscoe gig bag most of the time...

$1750 shipped in CONUS, paypal accepted

i reeallly like this bass, and never thought i'd sell it until i got my 6, but one fantastic instrument is enough for me

i'm not interested in any trades at the moment as i'm all set with my instrument and rig right now

thanks for looking!

this is the bass on the right in my avatar, btw

also--this is a very, very light bass and balances very well...i will get an approximate weight on it tonite, but with a comfort strapp, i can hardly even tell it's on...also, just to clarify, this is a solid, single block of swamp ash for the body--no laminates or bookmatching...and don't let the screen name fool you, this is in a non-smoking household, so no worries there, ha...

(these are the photos from blueberry hill, i can upload more later tonite)

mmm... What a bass...
I am not familiar with Roscos, what is the scale length? nut width? string at the bridge? Neck feel/shape (slim, flattened, meaty, etc.)?

I was thinking of buying this bass too.
When i was looking for a 5-string.
If it was a 6-string ?
I would jump all over it.

Thumbs up

Great deal! Get a full blown Roscoe LG at a less than Standard model price.

...and with the Roscoe Demeter pre!

I really like the look of the solid ash body. Very nice looking bass.

Good luck with the sale.

Wow...I am amazed at how different it looks in sunlight. What a really cool instrument!

Here's a bump for a very fine bass at a truly great price. Good luck with the sale, and whoever lands this one will be very happy.

yes, 35" scale, 18.3mm spacing at bridge, adjustable spacing--I'm not sure of the nut width, but you might check te Roscoe web site...the neck is quite slim, slightly rounded, very comfortable!
