For Sale only - Sadowsky NYC 24-5

I am the original owner, purchased in Feb. 2004. This is a beautiful looking and sounding, quilted top 24-5. The bass is well balanced and at 8.25 lbs. is a delight to play. As with most Sadowsky basses this instrument will take a ridiculously low set up if you like. There is a small scuff on the back of the neck from a guitar stand and some light swirling but other than that the bass is in excellent condition. (Photos w/ black backdrop are recent - taken in early April)

Basic Specs.

#3992
Style: NYC 24-fret 5-string
Finish: Transparent Blue
Wood: Quilted Maple on Swamp Ash
Fingerboard: Maple
Pickguard: None
Hardware: Black
Pickups: Sadowsky Soapbars
Weight: 8 1/4 lbs.

No VTC

This bass it has been fitted with neck edge LED's by Martin Sims (www.simscustom.com) in the UK The LED’s are activated by a push pull switch in the treble boost position. Pan boosts/cuts treble, pull turns on LED's. They are powered by a separate 9v battery.

For Sale Only.

PRICE: Asking $3000 (includes Shipping in US)

Suuuhhhhwweeettt.

Those blue LED's would match up nicely with a Genz Benz product and all their little blue LED's on their amps.

Good luck. Sombody gonna get a killer bass here!

Bump for an absolute stunner. Trans blue on that top? Perfect! Good luck with the sale, and congrats in advance to the buyer. I've got a Metro M5-24, and there is no substitute for that flavor of tone.

I've been a full time studio bassist for the past 18 years so the basses have covered all the situations well.Even the clients that want vintage jazz or precision basses on their CDs opt for the sadowskys after hearing them.Sadowskys offer all the good and none of the bad that I have had to deal with on vintage axes.

Does this have the standard 1.875" nut width and 19mm string spacing at the bridge?

Nice one..I have owned 2 24-5's. They are great instruments. It definitely proves that Sadowsky is VERY capable of designing his own instrument. Bump for another cool Sadowsky
